My Uncle Mike passed away last Sunday. I really wish that I could've gone to the funeral. I will miss him, but it is comforting to me knowing that he is again with my Aunt Suzie. I don't ever remember my uncle without a smile on his face, and his laugh and smile was almost contagious. He lived in Colorado on the adjoining property to my grandma, so when I'd spend Summers up there, growing up. I would see a lot of Uncle Mike. He would be working in their garden most of the time. In the latter years of his life, he had alzheimer's, and that was very sad, because he wasn't the same. He had a stroke a little while ago, though, and he remembered everything again after the stroke. He had said after the stroke that he was ready to go and that he couldn't wait to see my aunt. I'm sure she is happy to be with him again too.
We love you Uncle Mike.

It's funny when I was reading that I remember how he'd always catch snakes for Phillip--of course Phillip thought it was great, you girls didn't though! He was a really nice man, and shared the gospel with everyone he came in contact with.
